Order up! SC mayor serves breakfast for charity

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - A South Carolina mayor is serving flapjacks and topping off coffee cups for charity.

North Charleston Mayor Keith Summey and his staff serve breakfast at Aunt Bea's Restaurant in the city on Friday to help raise funds for a city women's and children's center.

The breakfast is technically free, but the idea is to raise donations for the shelter to be established with both public and private money.

The planned shelter will be able to house 148 women and children and will include a donation center and offices.
