Charleston cruising season begins

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - It will be a busy couple of days at the cruise passenger terminal on the South Carolina coast.

The Carnival Fantasy, which is the first cruise liner permanently based in South Carolina, arrives in Charleston today only to depart hours later.

On Monday, the Carnival Glory arrives to pick up passengers for a cruise. This year will be the first year-round cruising season from Charleston.

There will be a total of 67 cruise calls in the city this year.
