CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - An $18 million addition is being planned for a major entertainment venue in North Charleston.
Work on the project at the North Charleston Coliseum begins this summer. The 17-year-old coliseum will be enlarged with two 15,000-square-foot additions.
In addition, concession stands will be moved, the sound system upgraded and overhead rigging will be improved to allow more easy setup of shows.
The first phase of the work is expected to be finished by next spring.
