COLUMBIA, SC (WMBF) - A Myrtle Beach businessman is now presiding over the South Carolina Department of Transportation Commission.

Daniel H. Isaac Jr., who owns A&I Fire and Water Restoration, served the commission as vice chairman and represents the 1st Congressional District, which includes all or part of Berkeley, Charleston, Dorchester, Georgetown and Horry counties. He officially took over as chairman of the SCDOT Commission at its monthly meeting May 20. Isaac succeeded Marvin Stevenson, who resigned from the post.
