DARLINGTON, SC (WMBF) - A Darlington man is in jail after SLED agents seized $100,000 worth of cocaine, $40,000 in cash, marijuana and a gun Thursday.
Shamorel Moore, 33, is charged with trafficking cocaine and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime of violence. Officials with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division called Moore a suspected high-level drug dealer.
SLED agents executed a search warrant on Moore's home on Roanoke Drive in Darlington around noon Thursday following a two-and-a-half-month investigation alongside the FBI and the Darlington County Sheriff's Office's Drug Enforcement Unit. There they seized the drugs, money and handgun.
SLED spokeswoman Jennifer Timmons said agents will try to determine the origin of the cocaine, and where it was to be trafficked.
