COLUMBIA, SC (WCSC) - Gov. Mark Sanford, along with state emergency preparedness and response personnel, will travel to Horry, Charleston and Beaufort counties on Tuesday to discuss South Carolina's preparedness as the 2010 storm season approaches.
Last week, the governor held a discussion with state officials to discuss plans, preparations and procedures for the upcoming hurricane season. Forecasters are predicting an active storm season along the Atlantic seaboard.
Governor Sanford, along with state and local officials, will hold a news conference on Tuesday at 12 p.m. in the Lonnie Hamilton III Public Safety Building, 4045 Bridge View Dr., Council Chambers, 2nd Floor, North Charleston to discuss the state's preparedness.
