ORANGEBURG, S.C. (AP) - A faculty development academy under way this week in South Carolina is sort of summer school for teachers.
Dozens of teachers from across the state are attending the weeklong session beginning Monday at South Carolina State University in Orangeburg.
Faculty members from S.C. State, Claflin College, Benedict College and Allen University are attending. Other schools represented include Columbia College, Greenville Tech and Midlands Tech as well as two area elementary schools.
In all, about 65 teachers are attending the workshops focusing on the science of teaching and learning.
