Deputies arrest second suspect in John's Island bank robbery

JOHN'S ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - The Charleston County Sheriff's office has charged a man in connection with a bank robbery last month.

Quentin Anthony Gibbs, 24, is charged with the armed robbery of the BB&T located at 1900 Seabrook Island Road. He turned himself in to authorities on May 28.

The robbery occurred on May 7 when two men pointed a black gun at tellers and demanded money. They then fled the bank in a white Ford that was discovered by authorities a mile from the scene.

Deputies arrested the second suspect, 21-year-old Charlton Dwayne Smith, last month.
