Teen who was tossed over Myrtle Beach balcony naked is now missing

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - A 17-year-old girl who was thrown off the balcony of a Myrtle Beach hotel in the nude is now missing, according to police.

The teen from Ravenswood, WV, told police on Monday she was raped and thrown off the second-story balcony at Sea Dunes Motel, 605 S. Ocean Blvd., Monday evening. Cody James Epley, 17, of Swansea, has since been charged with first degree assault.

Early Tuesday morning, the victim's mother told police the girl was discharged from Grand Strand Regional Medical Center around 12:30 a.m. and left with two men she met earlier in the night, both of whom were friends of Epley.

A nurse at GSRMC told investigators she treated the girl in the emergency room and that she left with two "Colombian-looking men." Another nurse noted that the victim did not seem afraid of them in any way, and in fact seemed excited about going with them.

No description is available of the two men. WMBFNEWS.com has intentionally omitted the victim's name since she is potentially the victim of a sex crime.
