CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Cathy Davis won a close call for District 4's Berkeley County Council republican nomination.
Davis received 686 votes, just 43 more than her opponent, Randy W. McGinnis.
In District 5, Dennis Fish (1,498) defeated C. Tony Young (800) for the republican nomination.
Jack H. Schurlknight won the republican nomination in District 6, taking 1,941 votes. he defeated Terry Hardesty (905) and Steve Evans (600).
The county coroner's race will go to a June 22 runoff between republicans Bill Salisbury and Sharon Shuler. Salisbury received 6,163 votes, Shuler earned 5,327 and Johnny Hill was eliminated from the race with 4,145.
