SPENCER, NC (WBTV) - A Rowan County sheriff's deputy who was investigating a report of a suspicious vehicle found three people without clothes.
According to the report, the deputy responded to the call in the 800 block of Hackett Street on June 4 at 9 a.m.
The location is just off highway 29 north of the town of Spencer.
The deputy reported finding two women and one man engaged in sexual activity.
Alexander Monroe Jefferson, 44, of 1009 Holmes St., was charged with engaging in prostitution and trespass.
Capt. John Sifford said Jefferson hired the women and that upon his arrest, Jefferson "mentioned paying $20."
The women face drug charges, but were not charged in connection with prostitution.
Stacey Alexander Sullivan, 46, of 130 Knotty Pine Circle, was charged with felony possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and trespass.
Jennifer Ann Konicki, 37, of 514 N. Long St., Apt. B., was also charged with possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and trespass.
