CONCORD, NC (WBTV) - Two men were arrested early Thursday morning after one of them allegedly left his wallet behind at the scene of an attempted robbery, police said.
The incident happened at about 12:25 a.m. as a man went inside a McDonald's in Concord, showed a knife during an attempted robbery – and dropped a knife and his wallet inside the restaurant, police said.
Leaving the knife and wallet inside, the man then ran outside the McDonald's at 4550 Davidson Highway and got into an awaiting car, which was driven by another man.
The man did not get away with any money, police said.
Two men were arrested a short time later, police said.
Ted Henry, 24, was charged with attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon, police said.
Bennit Thomas, 22, was charged with conspiracy to commit an armed robbery, driving with a revoked license and driving with a fictitious tag, police said.
