CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - Lifeguards from across South Carolina will show off their abilities at the annual competition sponsored by the state Recreation and Parks Association.
The daylong event near Charleston on Friday includes lifeguards who work at pools, beaches and water parks.
Teams of at least three members compete in challenges and test their lifesaving skills. Teams must include a man and a woman.
The competition starts at a pool in Mount Pleasant and then moves to Folly Beach County Park southwest of Charleston.
