About 'Where You Live'

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Live 5 News has added a new feature to its website, the "Where You Live" pages. This series of 15 community based websites is designed to bring users events that are most important to them.

Users can share information with their neighbors, as well as find out what others are doing in their communities.

The "Where You Live" websites can be accessed using the blue box in the upper right hand corner of the live5news.com homepage. Users can choose their communities, as well as access information from other communities that interest them.

Given the hyper-local nature of the sites, users will see the stories that are happening closest to them. Visitors are encouraged to contribute stories and photos to make the experience more personal.

The following Lowcountry communities have sites:

  • Berkeley County
  • Daniel Island
  • Dorchester County
  • Downtown
  • Folly Beach
  • Georgetown
  • James Island
  • Johns Island/Kiawah/Seabrook
  • North Charleston
  • Mount Pleasant
  • Sullivan's Island/Isle of Palms
  • Summerville
  • West Ashley

For more information on the "Where You Live" pages, Debi Chard hosts a video to the upper right about the features of the sites, as well as how users can contribute material.
