SC's top teacher getting Bahamas vacation

GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) - South Carolina's Teacher of the Year recently received a five-night Bahamas cruise and now a second lucky teacher is getting a holiday in the sun as well.

The winner is being announced Tuesday at a Bojangles Restaurant in Greenville by officials of the restaurant chain and South Carolina Future Minds. The foundation works to improve public education in South Carolina.

Charlotte, N.C.-based Bojangles helped sponsor the state's first teacher appreciation month last month and donated the cruise to the state's teacher of the year, Kelly Nalley of Fork Shores Elementary in Greenville County.

Now a second cruise winner is being announced based on teacher nominations submitted from across the state on the foundation's website.
