NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - A man charged in connection to Monday's robbery at the First Citizens Bank has been placed under two $500,000 surety bonds.

Kevin Smith is behind bars after police say he entered a bank with intent to steal. He is being held at the Charleston County Detention Center.

According to police, Smith walked in to the First Citizens Bank on Monday afternoon and demanded money. Smith did not have a weapon and took off with an undisclosed amount of money.
