GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) — Some of the top career and technology high school students in South Carolina are being honored at a meeting in Greenville.
The Department of Education is saluting a dozen 2010 graduates during the opening session of the annual Education and Business Summit on Sunday.
It's the eighth consecutive year the department has recognized students in this way. Organizers say the honorees were chosen based on grade point average, attendance, awards, leadership and community service.
The recognition is coordinated by the state Education Department, the South Carolina National Guard and the South Carolina Association for Career and Technology Education.
