MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - It has played host to some of country music's biggest stars, and now The Beach Wagon will be taking its final bow after nearly 30 years in business.
Roger, Missy and Steven Davisson made the announcement on BeachWagonNightlife.com this week, as the trio prepares to close the Myrtle Beach landmark on a high note. The Beach Wagon will play host to a goodbye party on June 30, packed with live music and drink specials.
"If you look out on the dance floor on any given night, you may see someone [who is] 20 dancing beside a [70-year-old]," the announcement read. "Country music knows no boundaries and is one genre loved by many."
More than 200 artists have taken to The Beach Wagon's stage, including Kenny Chesney, Garth Brooks, Jason Aldean, The Dixie Chicks and Little Big Town.
