Counterfeit goods ring broken up by Goose Creek police

GOOSE CREEK, SC (WCSC) - State and local law enforcement officials Tuesday arrested two men and a juvenile in Goose Creek for selling counterfeit goods.

Kevin Doherty, 40, and a 15-year-old juvenile were arrested and charged with selling counterfeit goods. Doherty is being held at the Hill Finklea Detention Center. The juvenile was transported to the Department of Juvenile Justice in Columbia.

Alvin Scott, 27, was arrested on an unrelated bench warrant that had been issued by the Charleston County Sheriff's Office. He was found inside the 100 Single Tree Court residence when officers executed the search warrant.

Authorities say the warrant was issued after investigators amassed enough evidence of a counterfeit sales operation in Goose Creek. When authorities searched the residence, they found several items that were entered into evidence.

Goose Creek police did not provide details of the evidence or the complete incident report because the investigation is ongoing and the agencies involved expect to make more arrests and issue more warrants.
