NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Bond was set at $500,000 Friday for a man charged in connection to a June bank robbery.
Dorchester County sheriff's deputies charged Jaleel Lamont Brown, 18, of 7640 Hillandale Road, with robbery and entering a bank with intent to steal. Brown is accused of robbing the First Federal bank at 8450 Dorchester Road on June 10.
In that robbery, police say two black males forced their way in to the business after confronting an employee at gunpoint outside the bank. The subjects took an undisclosed amount of money and fled on foot from the bank.
A fingerprint left at the scene eventually identified Brown as one of the men involved.
When Brown was located and arrested, evidence related to the crime were recovered from the residence.
