COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - Three people have died on South Carolina's roads during the long holiday weekend, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
In Richland County, the highway patrol says an unnamed pedestrian was killed Friday morning on Monticello Road after being hit by a motorcycle being driven by 23-year-old Floyd Bouknight.
Bouknight was wearing a helmet and was not injured in the accident.
On Saturday around 6:30p.m., an unidentified driver was killed on Calvary Church Road about 7 miles east of Swansea when the driver's car ran off the left side of the roadway and overturned several times.
The driver was ejected from the vehicle because the lack of a seat belt.
Meanwhile in Aiken County, 43-year-old Eugene Weeks was struck and killed on SC Primary 9 late Saturday night.
Investigators say Weeks was riding his motorcycle when he lost control of the bike and spilled onto the highway. That's when Weeks was struck by a vehicle being driven by 26-year-old Keivea Moore.
The Aiken County Coroner's office says Moore stated she did not see Weeks lying in the roadway. The coroner says he isn't sure how long Weeks had been in the road and no information that Moore contributed to Weeks' death.
All three accidents are still under investigation.
