WALTERBORO, SC (WCSC) - Two of three wanted Walterboro gang suspects Thursday surrendered to state law enforcement agents.

According to SLED, Courtney Denard Singleton, 19, turned himself in Thursday morning. Derrick Corey Eleazor entered SLED custody THursday afternoon. Singleton and Eleazor will be transported to the Alvin S. Green Detention Center in Richland County.

Singleton has been charged with criminal conspiracy. Eleazor was charged with criminal conspiracy, assault and battery with intent to kill, assault with intent to kill and possession of a gun during the commission of a violent crime.

Singleton, Eleazor and 17 others were indicted in June by the state grand jury on multiple charges including their participation in gang activity in Colleton County. SLED agents as well as Walterboro police and Colleton County deputies have been cracking down on gang violence in the area in recent months as a response to a deadly drive-by shooting that injured six people and killed three, including a 20-month-old baby.

Agents are still searching for Laron Bennett.
