WEST COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) – Police have arrested a man for using his cell phone to take pictures under a woman's dress and they say there may be other victims who had similar contact with the suspect.
The West Columbia Police Department arrested 55-year-old James Allen Boone on July 2 and charged him with voyeurism.
According to Chief Dennis Tyndall, Boone was at Walmart on Augusta Rd. in West Columbia riding on a motorized cart when he used his cell phone to take pictures under a woman's dress.
Tyndall said Boone was also observed on in-store video pretending to fall against another woman whom he touched on the buttocks. That victim has not yet been identified by law enforcement. Those incidents happened on the afternoon of June 29.
Police say Boone, who also uses the name John Boone and Curtis Rabon, had a full beard on the day of the incident and was wearing his hair in a ponytail.
Boone was arrested in Bishopville, but may have been living in Camden.
Tyndall said, "We suspect that there may be other victims out there either in West Columbia or other Midlands communities. We are urging anyone who had similar contact with Boone to call us or their local law enforcement agency."
