West Ashley church vandalized

WEST ASHLEY, SC (WCSC) - Police are looking for the person that spray-painted anti-religious phrases on an area church July 7.

According to police, the Sea Coast Church on Savannah Highway was vandalized either late July 7 or in the early morning hours of July 8.

When police arrived on the scene, they found the following messages had been painted on the walls: "We don't becase (sic) we're atheist, I get better grades than you" ; "It's ok to question if god is real, bc he isn't" and "god is the s***... not really."

Police found several lewd drawings on other walls as well.

Police estimate the cost to repair the graffiti at $100.
