NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The Charleston County Sheriff's Office and the U.S. Marshall's Service arrested Ronald McKinley in North Charleston Tuesday. He was arrested on Big Ben Court without incident.

McKinley was wanted as an accessory after the fact of murder for aiding co-defendant Jessie James Murphy, Jr.

The crime took place on Johns Island in early August 2009.  According to the affidavit in the case, McKinley picked up Murphy after the murder and dropped him off on a dirt road.

The affidavit also states McKinley then went back to where Murphy had hidden the gun near St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church and retrieved it. He then went to Keener's vehicle, which Murphy had used to transport her after the shooting, wiped it down, and removed other items that may have trace evidence on them.
