CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The Charleston County Coroner's Office has issued a report on the death of an eighth grader at St. Andrew's Middle School. Fifteen-year-old Thadeus Calvary was found unconscious on a bathroom floor at the school in May.
Calavry's death has been ruled a death by natural causes. An infection of the heart muscle that causes an irregular heartbeat, lymphocytic myocarditis, is the cause of death.
According to medscape.com, the disease normally manifests in an otherwise healthy individual, then progresses rapidly to a fatal arrhythmia of the heart.
