SUMMERVILLE, SC (WCSC) - A fire destroyed a Summerville home early Monday night and left two adults without a home.
The fire started at a home in Baywood Mobile Home Park on Larry Street.
The Lowcountry chapter of the American Red Cross was called to assist the adults whose home was destroyed by the fire.
Red Cross volunteers gave comfort kits that include personal items as well as arranged temporary lodging for the displaced adults. Funds to replace food and clothing were also provided to the victims. Red Cross mental health and health services will follow up with them.
The Red Cross has now assisted 663 individuals needing aid due to home fires since January 1.
