DORCHESTER COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Traffic is flowing after two tractor-trailers were involved in a wreck Tuesday morning on Interstate 26.

The South Carolina Highway patrol said the accident had blocked the westbound lanes of I-26 at mile marker 177 near Harleyville. The highway was re-opened just after 2:30 p.m.

Both trucks were both traveling west on I-26 in the right lane when the second truck attempted to switch to the left lane, but struck the first truck in the rear as he was switching lanes.

The second truck caught fire immediately after the collision, but the driver jumped out before the cab became fully engulfed.

The driver of the second truck, Alfred Rogers, 50, of Memphis, Tenn., was charged with driving too fast for conditions. He was injured and taken to Trident Medical Center. His condition is unknown.

Clarence Wolfe, 65, of Bowman was driving the first truck, a 2000 Freightliner tractor trailer. He was not injured.

The collision is under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
