Charleston man gets 131 months for selling crack cocaine

COLUMBIA, SC (WCSC) - A Charleston man was sentenced in federal court Tuesday for distribution of crack cocaine.

According to the U.S. Attorney's office, Jamie Laquan Beall, 29, was sentenced to 151 months, or 12 1/2 years in prison.

Evidence presented at the change of plea hearing established that Beall had on three occasions in January 2009, sold crack cocaine from a Charleston residence.

The case was investigated by agents of the Charleston police department and Drug Enforcement Agency.
