Most Wanted suspect Lavone Heyward captured

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Charleston police captured one of Live 5's Most Wanted fugitives, just a few hours after the story aired.

A tip to Crime Stoppers led officers to 33-year-old Lavone Heyward.

Heyward was wanted for stabbing a man during an argument on Norman Street on July 2.

She was arrested Friday morning near the crime scene.

Heyward will be charged with second degree assault.

    One person is dead after an overnight motorcycle accident in Berkeley County. The accident occurred on Highway 35, just outside of the St. Stephen area, shortly before 10 p.m. Friday night. The driver was traveling north on Highway 35, when he veered off the right side of the road and crashed into a ditch. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
