Police: Suspects wore trash bags during Chinese restaurant armed robbery

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Police are searching for two men who wore trash bags over their faces while they robbed a Chinese food restaurant at gun point Sunday night.

According to Charleston police, two black males entered the New China Wok at 1001 Harborview Road a little after 9 p.m. Sunday. The men had trash bags wrapped around their heads and entered through the rear kitchen door and demanded money from the cash register from the restaurant owner.

Several restaurant employees told police that one of the men was armed with a black automatic handgun. After taking the cash from the register they left through the rear of the business. It is unknown if they fled on foot or in a vehicle.

Witnesses said that one man had a white trash bag wrapped around his face and the other had a black trash bag.
