WEST ASHLEY, SC (WCSC) - Two men accused of terrifying a West Ashley woman during a home invasion are behind bars, but another man is still on the run.
According to police, the 29-year-old victim said she was sleeping in her West Ashley home when three people broke in and pointed a gun in her face early Monday Morning on Wappoo Road.
The victim told police she was fast asleep, but a light turned on in her bedroom. Suddenly she heard a man talking and saw the suspects in the room with their faces covered.
She said the men demanded money, but she told them she didn't have any.
She said something eventually spooked the men and she was able to run out the door.
Police have arrested 25-year-old Marcus Simmons and Rashard Keith Duncan, 19. Both men are charged with burglary, attempted armed robbery, kidnapping and conspiracy to violate South Carolina narcotics law.
The victim was not hurt during the incident.
