Suspect in custody for Marriott computer theft

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - A man wanted for an electronics robbery has been taken into custody according to Charleston Police.

Toiquan Eady, 26, is charged with two counts of burglary 2nd degree for a burglary at the Courtyard by Marriott on Lockwood Drive that happened on June 14.

According to the police report, the suspect stole a computer valued at about $2,000 from the hotel.

Eady tried to pry open a door to a storage closet, but was unsuccessful.  Eady then removed an air vent in an adjacent cleaning supply closet and kicked in the wall to the storage room to gain entry to the room.

Police had surveillance video of Eady leaving the hotel property after the crime.
