Report: SC top state for economic growth potential

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - South Carolina has landed at the top of a new economic report published by "Business Facilities."

The publication ranked the state as number one for economic growth potential.

A key reason cited for the number one ranking was Boeing's decision to locate its 787 assembly facility in North Charleston. That move is expected to bring in $7 billion in economic activity over the next 10 - 15 years.

In the report, South Carolina also ranked high for best business climate, automotive manufacturing strength, and wind energy manufacturing leaders.
