GREENVILLE, SC (WIS) - State health officials are testing a white powdery substance found Thursday in a letter at Sen. Lindsey Graham's Greenville office.

Kevin Bishop, spokesman for Senator Graham, said initial findings showed the substance was not harmful.  Bishop said the senator was not in the office at the time the substance was discovered.

SLED agents were called to the office at the request of the FBI Thursday afternoon to investigate the substance.

Bishop said the office was closed most of the day Thursday, but re-opened Friday.

DHEC is conducting further tests on the mystery substance.
