RUFFIN, SC (WCSC) - One Colleton County man is recovering from a gunshot wound and another is in jail after the two men got into an argument over an iPod Wednesday morning.
The Colleton County Sheriff's Office said Tyanthony Devon Dunbar, 28, of Walterboro shot his cousin, Antonio Maurice Harley, 26, of North Charleston, after an argument over a digital music player erupted into gunfire.
Deputies were called to a home on Red Root Road in Ruffin, a small community in rural Colleton County Wednesday morning in response to a shooting. On scene, officers found Harley shot in the right leg.
He was taken to a nearby medical facility for treatment.
Hampton County deputies were dispatched to Dunbar's home where they found the man hiding in his bathroom. The handgun authorities believe to have been used in the shooting was also recovered.
Dunbar was taken into custody and placed in the Colleton County Detention Center. He was charged with attempted murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime and unlawful possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
