Dollar General robbed at gunpoint

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Officers were dispatched to an armed robbery at a Dollar General Friday morning.

Police arrived at the Dollar General on Northbrook Boulevard around 6:45 a.m. Friday. The victim told police that she was taking the bank deposit out of the store when a black male rushed inside the business. The suspect grabbed the bank deposit bag and walked out of the store towards Rivers Avenue. According to the victim, the suspect was armed with a knife.

The suspect was wearing a gray in color hooded sweatshirt, black shorts and black shoes. The suspect's face was covered with a white bandana.
