GEORGETOWN, SC (WCSC) - A Georgetown man once thought to be dead is going on trial.
Julius "Butch" Nesbitt, 58, disappeared on Thanksgiving weekend 2007 after he was charged with illegally distributing painkillers in Georgetown.
When the Coast Guard found his abandoned boat, people assumed he had died. That was until he was arrested in Indiana.
Nesbitt is in federal court in Charleston County this week. He's facing federal counterfeit charges for allegedly making fake money for his new life in Indiana.
