FLORENCE, S.C. (AP) - Authorities say a South Carolina man shot and killed his younger brother in an argument over a cell phone at their mother's home.
Multiple media outlets reported that Florence Police Maj. Carlos Raines says the men began fighting over the phone Wednesday night and their mother stepped between them and asked her sons to leave.
Investigators say 58-year-old Bobby Shaw Jr., then pulled a gun and shot his brother in the chest. Authorities say 43-year-old Robert Shaw died at the hospital a short time later.
Raines says Bobby Shaw was arrested several hours later and charged with manslaughter. He remains at the Florence County jail. It wasn't immediately clear if he had an attorney.
