3-day narcotics operation nets 23 issued warrants, 8 at large

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - To combat narcotic activity in the downtown area, Charleston Police culminated an undercover operation Friday in which they charged 23 individuals with narcotics related offenses.

During Friday's sweep, warrants were served on 13 of the suspects. In addition to those charged during the operation, two others were arrested on drug related offenses when encountered by officers.

Five others were served with out of agencies arrest warrants. Agents from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development assisted with the operation.

Charleston police Friday released the names of eight men still wanted after a three-day narcotics sting that took place this week.

Police said Edwin Littman, 29, Lamar Meyers, 21, Dwayne Otis Robinson, 37, Arias Jthroni Nelson, 25, Gavin Rashad Jenkins, 24, Kevin Eugene Jones, 19, William Eugene Wright Jr, 27, and Cornell Quentis Williams, 28, are all wanted on assorted narcotics charges.

Littman, who also goes by the names Waldo and Chu Deal, has warrants for three counts of attempted murder, distribution of heroin and distribution of heroin within the proximity of a school. He also has a warrant for possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.

Littman lives on Tracy Street in downtown Charleston.

Meyers has outstanding warrants for distributing heroin and distributing heroin within the proximity of a school. Meyers lives on Elsey Drive in West Ashley.

Robinson is wanted for distributing cocaine base. He lives on Stuart Street in downtown Charleston.

Nelson, of Athens Court in downtown Charleston, is wanted on charges of distributing cocaine base and distributing cocaine base within the proximity off a school.

Jenkins is wanted on charges of distributing heroin, distributing heroin within the proximity of a school, distributing cocaine base and distributing cocaine base within the proximity of a school. He has a sub-machine gun tattoo on his upper left arm.

Jenkins lives on Ashley Avenue in downtown Charleston.

Jones is wanted on charges of distributing cocaine base and distribution within the proximity of a school. He also lives on Stuart Street in downtown Charleston.

Wright is wanted for distributing cocaine base and distributing cocaine base in close proximity to a park or playground. He has a cross tattoo on his right forearm.

Wright lives on Cherokee Hall Lane in West Ashley.

Williams is also wanted for distributing cocaine base and doing so within proximity to a playground. He has a Tweety bird tattoo on his right arm and a tattoo of his father's profile on his left arm. Williams lives on Windmere Drive in West Ashley.

Those who were served with arrest warrants are:

  • George Bennett, 23, distribution of marijuana and cocaine;
  • Dariel Bowman, 21, distribution of heroin and distribution of heroin within close proximity of a school;
  • Justin Criswell, 20, distribution of heroin, distribution of heroin within close proximity of a school, distribution of cocaine base and distribution of cocaine base within close proximity of a school;
  • Monquese Jenkins, 28, two counts of distribution of heroin and two counts of distribution of heroin within close proximity of a school;
  • John McKnight, 22, distribution of cocaine base and distribution of cocaine base within close proximity of a school;
  • Edward Rollerson, 35, distribution of marijuana distribution of cocaine and distribution of cocaine within close proximity of a school;
  • Lorenzo Royal, 24, distribution of cocaine base, Nathaniel Seabrook, 38, distribution of heroin;
  • Rashad Simmons, 20, distribution of cocaine base and distribution of cocaine base;
  • Renardo Smalls, 24, distribution of cocaine base;
  • Earl A. Smith, distribution of cocaine base;
  • Alif Williams, 34, distribution of heroin and distribution within close proximity of a school and
  • John L. Williams, 25, distribution of heroin and distribution of heroin within close proximity of a school.

Those served with out-of-agency arrest warrants are:

  • Brenda Brown, 43,
  • Shakiwahd Davis, 27,
  • Joseph P. Reid, 29,
  • Danielle Rivers, 24, and
  • Jetta Todd, 22.

Those arrested during the operation are:

  • Kevon Varns, 19, for distribution of heroin and
  • Marcus Gallashaw, 27, for possession of marijuana.
