Kitchen fire at downtown Taco Boy stalls weekend kick-off

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - A small kitchen fire at a popular downtown Charleston restaurant put on brief hiatus the weekend kick-off for many Charlestonians.

The downtown Taco Boy location on Huger Street was briefly evacuated as fire trucks lines the street and firemen rushed into the restaurant.

However, the fire was small and easily contained, said Mark Ruppel with the Charleston Fire Department.

Twitter was abuzz with conversation on the fire and Mike Close, @lightmedium on Twitter, snapped a photo of firemen entering the restaurant.
