Man murdered in downtown Charleston; Police seek suspect

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Police are looking for a murder suspect after a man was gunned down in downtown Charleston early Saturday morning.

Police were dispatched near Norman Street around 6:22 a.m. Saturday morning in reference to a gun shot being heard.

Police and EMS arrived on scene and found 20-year-old Travis Anderson who had been shot.

The Charleston County Coroner's Office says, Anderson was pronounced dead on the scene from gunshot wounds.

Detectives and police canvassed the area gathering information.
