CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Hurricane Earl and Tropical Storm Fiona are being followed by Tropical Storm Gaston, which was named Wednesday.
Tropical Storm Gaston has winds of 40 miles per hour and is traveling west at 15 mph.
This is the third storm to develop in the tropics since last week.
It is expected to gain strength with wind speeds increasing to near 60 mph. It is too early to tell if this storm will have any impact on the Lowcountry of the U.S., but early projections show that it will not be a major threat.
