CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - A Most Wanted suspect accused of conducting unlawful practices, obtaining property by false pretenses and forgery was captured Thursday.

The US Marshals Fugitive Task Force and the Charleston County Sheriff's Office located and arrested 46-year-old Reginald Myers.

Myers had five outstanding arrest warrants for financial crimes in addition to a family court bench warrant.

Myers is alleged to have swindled several victims, out of thousands of dollars and had avoided capture by local law enforcement.

"Convinced the victim that he could help design a house for a relatively low price," said Deputy Reggie Sharpe. "In doing so, took some money from the victim and never delivered on his promise."

Deputies say Myers actually drove his victim around Daniel island, and pointed to houses he claimed he designed.

"As a result, the victim is out thousands of dollars and this guy skipped," Sharpe said.

Detectives say Myers has a long rap sheet filled with fraud and bad check convictions.

"This guy's a smooth talker, apparently and once you gain the trust of your victim in a short period of time, if he can do it the right way, he can pull money from them," said Sharpe.

"He's slick, but the game's up. Every dog has its day and it's his turn now."
