1 man critical after Orangeburg drive-by

ORANGEBURG, SC (WCSC) - A man was flown to Columbia after being shot Wednesday in what investigators are saying was a drive-by shooting, reported the Orangeburg Times and Democrat on theTandD.com.

The Orangeburg County Sheriff told theTandD.com the injured man was airlifted to an area hospital where he was reportedly in critical condition. His identity had not been released Wednesday evening.

The man was apparently shot in front of a vacant office building on Magnolia Street, reported theTandD.com. Witnesses said a vehicle pulled up in front of the man and opened fire, theTandD.com reported.

Investigators have not identified the vehicle involved in the shooting or been able to determine how many people were in the car, theTandD.com reported.
