WEST ASHLEY, SC (WCSC) - Charleston police are searching for a man they say attempted to rob a West Ashley bank Thursday afternoon.

Information Officer Charles Francis said the man was 6 feet 1 inch tall and white with dirty blonde hair. He was wearing sunglasses and an oversized blazer.

The suspect entered the First Federal at 855 Savannah Hwy. and handed the teller a note demanding money, said Francis. He did not show a weapon to the teller.

According to Francis, there were three customers in the bank at the time of the incident.
