Three people robbed at gunpoint in downtown Charleston

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Charleston police say that three people were robbed at gunpoint over the weekend.

According to police, three people were robbed in downtown Charleston on Jackson Street just before midnight Friday. According to one of the victims, she was walking down the road when five men jumped out from behind, punched her and then demanded money.

The victim said the suspects were passing around a black pistol during the robbery. The five men allegedly got away with a bike, i-pod and cell phone.
