COLUMBIA, SC (WCSC) - A Charleston man was indicted in federal court Wednesday on charges connected to a Mt. Pleasant bank robbery, the US Attorney's Office reported.
Jeffrey Paul Nance, 48, was charged with bank robbery and using a firearm during a violent crime, said US Attorney Bill Nettles. Nance is charged with using a firearm to rob the First Federal Bank on Coleman Boulevard.
If he is convicted, Nance could face a 25 year prison sentence for the bank robbery and an additional five-year sentence for using a firearm, Nettles said.
The case was investigated by officers of the Mt. Pleasant Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, he said.
