MT. PLEASANT, SC (WCSC) - Mount Pleasant police have four men in custody in connection with an armed robbery at the Cricket Cellular store on South Morgans Point Road.

The incident happened Wednesday night at about 6:30.  Employees at the store say two men entered the business through the back door armed with guns.  The gunmen took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register and then fled the building.

One of the employees had left the store as the gunmen were on the way in and called police.

"We've got a great customer base here, but when these guys came in with masks, hoodies, a handgun. I knew I was in trouble," said store owner Jim Blain.

Blain and an employee ran out the front door. "No words were spoken. When I saw the gun my employee and I ran out."

Blain watched the robbers go to work. "Two of them were gathered around the cash box, Obviously taking money. They got a good handful of cash."

Another witness saw the men flee and gave the police a tag number.  Nine minutes after the robbery, police pulled the car over, and arrested the four men in the car.

Brian Adam Mazyck, 24, Keenan Jamal Coakley, 19, Kevin Lamar Smalls, 24, and Jarret Eric Graddick, 23, all of Mt. Pleasant, were taken into custody as suspects in the crime.  Police found evidence in the car linking the men to the crime.

The men are being held at the Charleston County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
