Berkeley County Sheriff seeks suspect in Summerville shooting

SUMMERVILLE, SC (WCSC) - The Berkeley County Sheriff's Office is looking for a man accused of shooting a 22-year-old man on Royle Road in Summerville Monday morning.

Deputies responded to the address and found the victim had been shot twice.  The victim was then transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

After further investigation, deputies learned the victim had gotten into a fight with three men wearing masks.  The victim identified the shooter as Christopher Knupp, a black male in his mid-twenties.  Knupp is wanted on a charge of attempted murder.  The other two men have yet to be identified.

Anyone with information in the case is asked to call the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office or Crime Stoppers.
